for people who are too stupid to train a dog, people had no problems training without them since dogs were domesticated. sure as f**k not needed now

So, I'm stupid? G.F.Y.S. Granted, there have been countless dogs trained to a high standard without one. But, for timely corrections, you can't beat an e-collar. With one, the training moves along

The problem for me doesn't lie with the collar in the right instance they can be a fantastic tool but too many twats get them and use them as a means to discipline the dog.

ther is alot of ignorent people about theas collars the collars can only be used to stop the dog from doing things

NOT true collars can be used to make a dog comply as well as refrain from a task/behaviour

A LAZY MANS TOOL, OR JUST A TOY, A DOG SHOULD DO HIS WORK BECOUSE HE INJOYS IT, NOT FORCED TO, THROUGH PUNISHMENT (TORTURE) :diablo:

You can't make a dog work by using one, you can stop it getting run over though.

I DONT WORK MY DOGS ON THE M6, CAN THE COLLER TEACH DOGS THE GREEN CROSS CODE :whistling:

Well that's nice for you but you shouldn't knock it until you've tried it. It's not a replacement for training and you don't have to use it, it's a last resort that's there for you if you ever need it.

I am proud to say in 21 years I have never had a dog that didn't walk to heel without a lead in fact I have never owned a lead, seen many folks use one incorrectly though seen dogs hit with them, seen dogs dragged with them, seen dogs choked with them, seen dogs tied up and left with them seems to me a lead is a lazy mans tool the day I need one I reckon I'll pack the dogs in :whistling:

WELL I WHOLE HEARTEDLY AGREE WITH WHAT YOU SAY, SO YOUR DOGS ARE SO WELL TRAIND AND BEHAVED THROUGH THE USE OF A COLLER. WERE MY DOGS ARE AS WELL BEHAVED WITH NO USE OF ANY TOOL, BUT EXPERIENCE AND PATIENCE. :icon_redface:

there a handy tool for stock breaking there is many settings on them sound worse than they are and as for stock training only takes someone else's dog to bother while yours is off the lead for them to get a taste for it.

HOW I STOCK BREAK MY DOGS IS TAKE THEM THOUGH STOCK AT A YOUNG AGE AND EVERY TIME THEY TURN THERE HEAD THEY ARE TOLD NO, SO IF THIS IS CARIED ON FROM 12 WEEKS OLD THEY SOON LEARN THAT THEY ARE NOT THE QUARY.BUT A LAZY MANS WAY IS TO LEAVE THERE DOG RUN FREE IN A FIELD WERE THERE ARE STOCK AND WHEN THE DOG CHASES STOCK BECOUSE THEY KNOW NO BETTER THEY ARE GIVEN AN ELECTRIC SHOCK SO SAD :cray:

Should have added only ever used a collar once for a dog that lost focus when working past 200 yards one correction and it never needed a collar again but hey non of us are perfect are we.what I do understand though is the principle of its correct use and how they can be used within aversion training I would far sooner learn from others methodology than blindly believe that everyone elses methods are wrong,

what you describe would not be the correct way to use the collar anyway but then you are clearly an expert in their use. not point continuing this as far as I'm concerned if as your location describes your in wales you don't get the choice anyway so it's pretty pointless. :bye:
