Thats the one, published in 1879.

its working now i never realised you could post books like that!!! not read it in years tho so will flick through it over the weekend!! thanks for posting mate :victory: nice to see books just written for the readers enjoyment and not financial gain or to get a fan club like some today :thumbs:

The Amater poacher, and the Gamekeeper at home, are the first two books in my library. Classic writing by Richard Jefferies, and The book called "Bevis, the story of a boy" is a favorite of my kids.

I'm reading Bevis at the moment an its a great read.

 

A book for all lads who lived to hunt and live the great adventure of life.

A great read thats stood the test of time and it makes you think a lot of common people [bANNED TEXT] it was first wrote wouldent have been able to afford it or being illeterate being able to read it.In my old copy of gamekeeper at home theirs some brillian illustrations by Charles Whymper.
