1888andybhoy 7
Hi all, I'm really looking for some advice. I am going to be applying for a .22-250 for foxing but I dont think I have enough land yet. I have roughly 500 acres of permission so far. Would this be enough land or do I need more ? Many thanks Andrew. Quote Link to post

tegater 789
I agree with above but it is nothing to do with acreage. It has far more to do with terrain, backstop, public access and surrounding land and houses. Your feo will advise accordingly. Good luck, its a fantastic fixing round. 1 Quote Link to post
TWOTWOTHREE 152
Hi That's more than enough if the land is suitable, ur feo will decide on his land visit if it's not all ready been passed before,a bit of land I shoot was only 200 acres and was ok up to 22/250 I settled on 223 in the end. andyf 144
Hi: That's plenty of acres, and you should have no problem with ANY centrefire, BUT as the others have said it will possibly depend on where those acres are! Footpaths, roads, housing estates etc may be an issue but probably not. Good luck, I have a 22.250 you wont be dissapointed! AF Quote Link to post
TGEvans 4
Had a go on a friends 22.250 few weeks back. Very Impressed. Only problem he had getting his was they wanted him to have a mentor locally. Our FEO's down this way change their ideas regularly though so it may just have been them taking the mick. Got it sorted though, Great round. Quote Link to post
