I'm beginning to think that a cheap throw away boot is the answer ??

You will go through a pair of boots quicker with a season on the hill than you will a season digging .

If you get out much, you'll be lucky to get three seasons out of them. You'll need to take proper care of them, they're not indestructible.

Good boots mind.

There not digging boots, there hunting boots,,comfort, waterproof with ankle support... not for hammering the soles with the backside of a spade..that will destroy most boots, given time..

I bought two pair's of them over 4yr's ago when they where a little bit less pricey..i think they are awsome boot's with exeptional ankle support for my weak right ankle..they have a good sole on them and are really comfortable even when worn for hour's on end..totaly waterproof and not too heavy..one thing i will say that i have not seen anyone else say and that is look after the leather..clean any mud of them and let them dry naturally one a week..when they have dried out treat them with some Meindl sport wax and they will last you for year's..
