Most young inexperienced dogs hunt up to start with. So slip if he misses lamp of...might take a wee bit of perseverance but stick with it and the penny will eventually drop. What your aiming for is the dog to return as soon as the lamp is switched of. The more you lamp with him the better he will get. 2 Quote Link to post
munster man 120 Posted November 27, 2011 Report Share Posted November 27, 2011 ya waste of time following the dog around with the lamp when his hunting up will make matters alot worse .turn the lamp off for a few seconds and then shine the light down to your feet to let the dog no where you are.it helps too if you pick the darkest of nights to go out.
