Interview Questions

Recommended Posts

Well its been 6 months since college ended and after going for dozens of jobs without even getting to interview l have finally managed to get myself to the second stage of an application and bagged myself an interview. Does anyone know generally what questions might be asked and what are the ideal answers? Hope this topic might be of help to other members as well as myself.

cheers Callum

Callum as above be yourself, unless your a numpty ( just kidding  ) just try and find out about what they do so they know, that you know what the factory is all about.they usually fire a few senario's at you just to see how you answer, whether right or wrong it doesn't matter, they analyse you how you answer and most questions are nothing to do with the job your applying for.at our place one of the mates went for interview and just got pipped to the post ,i asked the manager how he got on and he said he had a great interview but he never mentioned the end product what was made.thats how petty it gets .thats at our poorly ran place anyway.........good luck with it,hope you get it....pipcock

Having never went for an interview myself and i fecking hope i never need to i have had the 'pleasure'... :censored: of the girl telling me of some of the questions she's had in interviews. Stupid f*****g questions like "When have you been in charge of a team?"..and "Whats your best quality and whats your worst?!".... :icon_eek:

Look at yourself as a product, you want them to buy into you so market yourself accordingly, and as pip said research the factory and its products nothing worse than when an interviewer asks the applicant do they have any questions and theres a pregnant silence, have enough questions so as to appear clued-up and interested in the company your going to be working for,go to the interview with utmost confidence in yourself, you know you can do the job, good luck.

2 questions l have been told that are asked regularly no matter the job you go for is: "what do you do if the fire alarm goes off?" and "where do you see yourself being in 5 years?". Obvious answer to the fire alarm one would be switch off all machinery and walk outside using the nearest fire exit in an orderly manner and the other one erm.

"where do you see yourself being in 5 years?"

the answer to that would be working there as your looking for a full time perminant job and your after job security..

Thanks that's the answer l'll use though l did like lab-tastics one as well this one is less likely to get me ejected from the interview

......And queue at the nearest emergency assembly point for a roll-call or name check.

Where do you want to be in five years time? That depends upon you, just regurgitate the usual, progression through the company...etc,etc,etc.
