swamper 11 Posted April 3, 2007 Report Share Posted April 3, 2007 im just sat here at 1 oclock with an injured dog trying to keep her calm had her out before and she took off after a big bunny when there was an almighty yellp...(think she went down a mole hill) so it was back left up...... and a couple of miles from the car...by the time we got to the car it looked like a f****n baloon phoned the vets and cant get in till the morning...first thing....iv had a good luck at it.... but it looks like shes broke her hock..and shes only 13 month old...its going to be a long night....iv doped her up with calpol....so shes settled down a bit now but still wimpering...but f****n gutted for her....i hope im wrong but it does look bad i hope tomorrow comes fast for her sake Quote Link to post

As for finding vets that do emergancy's, bloody imposible round here. They all send you to a petmedics miles away and charge near a hundred quid befor even seeing your dog's.I have had to use it a few times for rescue dog's, cost an arm and a leg. Quote Link to post
lamper12 30 Posted April 3, 2007 Report Share Posted April 3, 2007 hi swamper my bitch was after a big one a couple of weeks back then an almighty yelp thought it was sprained come up like a baloon left it a day took it to the vets turned out to be a fractured carpal bone in a splint and bandage at the moment and taking her in next week to have it off then another 4 weeks of rest real gutted...hope all is well.lamper12 Quote Link to post
