jimster68 123 Posted November 22, 2011 Report Share Posted November 22, 2011 ive only ever used the mk 3 so i cant comment on the mk1 ,i did find it frustrating to use a first ,so i got a mate to bury the collars in my backyard and i practised finding them .ive been using the finder this season and ive been able to locate my ferrets in no time at all ,ive never missed ,the furthest ive dug down is 4ft no problem . darbo 4,776 Posted November 22, 2011 Report Share Posted November 22, 2011 prefer the mk 1 but did have a problem with the dial snapping. need to get it repaired. got the 1st version of the mk3 the collar isnt waterproof on that one. as said i just tape it.dont really like the mk3 the search and locate option is too much for me. must be going senile prematurely.
