Hi everyone. Managed to bag my first pheasant yesterday, got it home and hung it up ready to be plucked and cleaned this tuesday. I have just checked up on it and have found mites on its neck.

Will these taint the meat or will it still be ok to eat? Don't want to have to throw my first pheasant away,

What sort of mites? In all the birds i have shot i have never seen mites on them. Were they in the feather or on the meat?
