Tyla 3,179
Im planning to buy a bino harness, utterly sick of the strap, thought i'd get some feedback on which are best so I dont have to buy twice. Cheers Quote Link to post

Tyla 3,179
Certainly not the cheapest i've seen but they look good. Possibley a bit bulky for me, i tend to wear them under a jacket so i can zip the binos inside and out the way. My friend uses butler creeks which he says are good, i just want to be aware of all the options Quote Link to post

My friend uses butler creeks which he says are good, i just want to be aware of all the options There are obviously cheaper ones on the market but you did ask for advice so there was no need to buy twice mate I was just pointing you to the best in my view. I must admit I cant justify the price personally at the moment but when i am in a position to these would be the ones i would buy. Alternative to buy but not a lot cheaper than the Harkila you might like these http://www.zimbio.com/Hunting+And+Shooting/articles/KcK1QFap-Do/Binocular+Harness+LockDown+Optics+Deployment Stu Edited November 21, 2011 by Caprelous Quote Link to post
Tyla 3,179
I prefer those ones. Im always torn in these situations, do you buy the very best first off then find you hardly use it or buy a cheaper version, use it all the time and wish you'd bought a better one? One of lifes questions lol. Thanks for the links Quote Link to post
gerfalcon 13
Forget the rest and buy the best........................... Swarovski. I have them on all my binoculars. http://www.uttingsoutdoors.co.uk/Product/260/101342/swarovski-binocular-suspender-harness-for-el-and-slc-swelslcsh/ I have seen them of sale at £42.00 elsewhere. So grab yourself a bargain. Quote Link to post
dave1372 83
Something like this may suit you then : http://www.scottcountry.co.uk/products_detail.asp?productID=2672&froogle=true You can always add a bit of leather as a flap to cover them if you are not keeping them under your jacket. I have them and they are fine for my needs. Quote Link to post
Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Maybe some of the guys are thinking too much here mate .A bino harness is just that , a harness .Binos arnt heavy now so please dont spend just because its the 'in' thing .I have a harness from USA ,redhead and its lasted 15 years with no probs .I couldnt go back to the bloody things swinging round the neck on a strap but like i said you dont have to go overboard . gerfalcon 13
The old saying that if you buy cheap you'll always be crying. But if you buy the best you'll only cry once. Applies to everything, especially shooting kit. What price do you put on comfort? Quote Link to post
Tyla 3,179
The problems been solved now, I have been warned that i am under no circumstances to buy any until after christmas.
