Hunting with Hawks

Well, after realising i dont have enough spare time away from work to own a bird of prey of my own (would be unfair on any species of BOP to be flown just at weekends) I am looking into booking a day out hunting with various hawks at Rabbits/Pheasant.

 

After doing alot of research on the internet it looks like Nigel Hawkins day out seems to be the front runner. £160 is a lot for a day but i just want to get out with these wonderful birds and enjoy a couple of good flights.

 

My question is, has anyone been out with Nigel, whats it like? Would you recommend it? Is there anyone else i could consider? I dont want to end up just following someone around in a group for a day, i really want a hands on day hawking.

 

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated

why not just ask on here if u can tag along a couple of times n bung em a couple of quid rather than payin that price.i might beable to sort a day out if i get the permission am waiting for but not till after christmas.cheers lee

Would anyone within an hours drive of sheffield be willing to take me out for a day? Would love to be involved in a hawk day but £160 will take a fair amount of saving up for!!!

if you dont ask you wont get, ask as many people as you can theres some good guys on here willing to help
