Average dig is about this.

 

 

This one went a bit hairy as it was about 2.5 on the box, then dropped straight down like a chimney then had to tunnel on 2 metres, was very glad to backfill this one.

 

 

Will avoid this place in the future.....

The hardest dig i ever had was last season in an earth along a railway track,i had dug this same earth a few times before out in the field away from the tracks at around 3 or 4 foot each time but this time the bitch(glen x patterdale) went the opposite way 12 if i was to dig up the railway track which we couldn't but it was 15 feet straight in from the side of complete compact stone from about 9 that morning to 10 o clock that night ,looked like a cave when we got done,a fcuking b@stard will never go back to it again unless i get a dog that can be called up 'but if you get it in the field it's a lovely dig

to be honest mate i would of being happy for her to come off that day but she done her job so i was chuffed when we got done ,came back the next day to back fill and that took about 2 hours we even put a cast iron bath in to hurry it up a bit

7-8 ft by myself, 12 ft with a partner and 33 ft with a bunch of helpers going back into a bank of running sand.

I do but I have to find a scanner and load them. Smudge it was long dont get me wrong but it was on the level into a bank not down , big difference and we had 15 people at least. One thing it was though DANGEROUS I was waiting for someone to get caved in on as it was allot of sand.
