ferret hutch ideas

you can buy them on ebay mate,coops/hutchs etc probaly cost the same or less then building yourself..or bide your time and keep watching gum tree.more room for them the better i spose.pick up a decen double hutch,remove a door and build a run with wood and mesh from b & q.search the forums for hutchs,you will find alot of good posts

Loads of threads on here about housing mate. It doesn't have to be anything special, but the most important thing is to make it as escape proof as possible. :yes: Ferrets are master escape artists and will exploit any weakness they find, and if there's any weakness, they will find it! :D:thumbs:

hey all looking in to get two ferrets but not sure on what hutch to build them think of puting a run on the back of a double hutch or is there a better way of doing it can so one help me plz.

for your money with materials and effort I dont think you can beat the chicken coops off ebay

Ive got my 4 in an old out building.

 

Sectioned off so they have the run of a 10' x 8' area with pipes, tyres and logs etc in there to amuse them and then the housing is just a very basic 4' x 18" hutch with 18" x 18" sleeping box full of old clothes.

 

Then ive got a 4 x 2 x 2 Double tier hutch for when i have to seperate come mating season.
