whin 463 Posted November 22, 2011 Report Share Posted November 22, 2011 good fishing caut hundreds of cod over years but only managed 12 pounder , cant beat a bit of cod bashing dunbar north berwick berwick on tweed all good areas for cod, codling ,certain times and years , all the best Quote Link to post

whin 463 Posted November 22, 2011 Report Share Posted November 22, 2011 ye its just the iodine of the kelp or die called them red cod , rock cod , you get a fare few in the creels early on in the season had some crackers up to 8 pound , alive and kicking , had a sole this year in creel , had wolfish, conger, wrasse ,pollack ,ling ,good grub if there living , if there dead good bait ,berwick fishes well through summer dunbar the same and north berwick a bit more patchy unless you have a good tide , as you need to cover the land as its sheltred love the fishing creeling just another form of hunting ,brought up 100 yards from shore since a small kid seas got laws to but well its abig place as they say in some areas Quote Link to post
