Tron 173
Four weeks ago I purchased a new Tasco 3X9x40 scope from Ebay it took a couple of weeks to arrive from china, I was pleased with the overall finish and fitted it to the rifle and set up a target at 15 yards in the garden and proceeded to sight it in a After about 10 shots I realised the L2R turret was not moving.WTF? anyway I contacted the seller and I was advised to retun the scope and they would replace it. I checked with the local Post Office and realised to do so would make the total price I would be paying excessive for such a scope thats the last scope I will order from China, "Once bitten twice shy!" Tron 173
Problem is there is no british made scopes! all the best Jap scopes IE Tasco, Bushmaster, Rhino, Bsa, Etc, are now inferior made copies. to buy the same scopes from British shops you are paying way over the odds for the same product ! OK you could probally get a exchange but the Chinese made scopes are- CRAP. Quote Link to post
paulus 26
american, german or austrian i know they seem expensive but they are far superior to the chinese rubish and most come with a lifetime quarentee. if you buy the one thats right for you you will never need to buy again. so in the end there not expensive. a leopold v1 is only about £300 ish new. mikemjm 6
Request that the seller pays your postage fees and if not open a paypal dispute including this info. Best of luck, mike Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Never had a problem with any of my Hawke Scopes, very well made, accurate and do what they are supposed to. If you shop around in the UK, you can find them cheaply, new and with warranty! 1 Quote Link to post

PS. if you open a dispute or tell them you will leave negative feedback, its not worth there sales loosing percentage!as many buyers only go with 100% sellers, this will damage there sales.no one like to deal with some one who has 97% well i certainly don't! regards Davy Edited November 19, 2011 by davyt63 Quote Link to post

Marksman 934
I must be the exception to the rule then... I bought a cheap Tasco 3-9x50AO IR off ebay(£24.99) when Zini, wor kid and eveyone else had them and to be honest it's never let me down yet! It's sitting in the cupboard as a spare just in case but I can put it on the rifle and can guarantee it's zeroed within a couple of clicks either way if that!, the optics are crystal clear, it doesnt fog up and the midots are as accurate as they come It's much the same with my cheap ebay bipods.....
