DogFox123 1,379
the reason everyone thinks its better to have bull x to take bigger game than bunnies, is because theres so many of them, ANY lurcher entered at the right time, and at a tidy size should take anything Doesn't always work like that, put it this way you get a much better chance of having a dog that will take bigger game when it's a bull x Quote Link to post
wilko tango 50
the best lurcher i owned was a bull cross. She worked everything and she was a pleasure to own never a peep out of her.I was gifted the bitch she was 4 years old and i swear you could nt buy one like her.I ended up giving her away after two years game was scarce on the ground and she was nt getting the work she deserved.Plus i was doing alot more digging at the time and the lads would nt entertain a lurcher in the feild with them as in alot of cases land owners dont like to see these dogs around livestock.I missed her when she was gone cause iv always had a lurcher about me so to cut a long story short i was thinking for a while bout getting a lurcher again so went hunting yesterday wiyh a lad i know and came home with my new 4 month old pie bred lurcher after seing his sire working to say i was impressed would be an understatement so fingers crossed il be back in the game next season Quote Link to post
