You don`t need bull in a rabbiting or hare dog.

well i own a saluki bull greyhound, which is the best lurcher ive owned and the first bullx ive had.granted its from good stock.a friend of mine does not rate bullx but says mine is the best hes seen.r

Simple answer to a simple question depends what your hunting simples atb donk

well i own a saluki bull greyhound, which is the best lurcher ive owned and the first bullx ive had.granted its from good stock.a friend of mine does not rate bullx but says mine is the best hes seen.really it depends on the game.bullx are built 4 a heavyr game imo.mouching lurchers bedx, colliex which ya prob already know.but yeah mine is 13 month old and cant fault him so i would recomend bullx .a bit bull in a lurcher ads that bit steel when its needed.

your mate couldn't have seen many bullx, if he thinks yours is the best he has seen and it's only 13 mths old, must be some dog....

i understand people saying YOU DONT NEED BULL in a lurcher and that is understandable but for me bull in a lurcher even if its a splash for me its a yes ive saw alot of dogs run in the past and most of the good dogs ive saw run had bull in them some where i for dont think youll get anything as game and determind as a bull x my half x bitch is a pretty heavy dog and some people may say there too slow but when that dog takes off after some thing theres 1 thing in that dogs eyes and shes hell bent on catching it as alot of bullx dogs and dogs with bull in them are

it depends on what you are after i had one of the first bull cross years ago it was greyhound bich to a american imported pit bull game dog it was totaly diffrent from the bull cross of today as it was straight from working pit bull it could stop a bus not much good on longears or rabbits but the best i have ever seen on anything else

saw bull crosses run local not worth a carrot you get the [bANNED TEXT] blend of working dogs for small game big game fox you dont need terrier in them full stop , as the more terrier they are sometimes harder mouthes , and bad feet lack wind , yet to see agood bull cross run local and i want to take it home ,i did see a few irish lads near belfast they brought there dogs over and they were game but were hard on good qaulity meat so useless , saw som enice bull crosse a lad from penrith has one acracker i like her but few and far between im unluckt that the bull crosses i see are mostly at shows or not bred of the [bANNED TEXT] running dogs abull terriers, the early ones i saw were decent early ninties but lately to big adn cumbersome to be usefull for hard running and they would be injuries with there atttitude at times

i love bull crosses but the next pup i buy wont have any in it!!! im thinking of going for a deer/grey x saluki/grey

Thats you and me both then L1.

The simple fact is that its all dependent on what you want in a dog and what you want to use it for. There are good quality dogs bred without any bull (or any other terrier) blood in 'em and then again there are plenty that have it. Personally, I like bull bloods but as the 'original' cross, with no other breeds in the mix, they have served me well, but like L1, i'm going to look elswhere for the future and it won't have any bull in it.

Generatgion bull greys ,can and are for the the man who desires a dog for all game plus other stuff be top draw ,i have run with saluki lurchers deerhound greys and a mixtyre of both and they can be there equal for some one who can source the rightg stock. I HAVE WITNESSED BULL CROSSES WITH THE FOOT has good has any cross ,and those that breed with the right tested stock one will get animals with good staying power ,granted tnot that of the great match dogs ,but the average saluki lurcher wich most keep ,the bull cross can have has much wind and in somecases more ,AND yes i have witnessed this. AND YES THESE SALUKI TYPES AND THE DEERHOUND TYPES WERE BRED FROM MEMBERS OF THIS SITE ,SO IN THEORY QUITE WELL BRED , OPENING ONES MIND TO WHAT CAN BE ACHIEVED WITH THE RIGHT BULL CROSS ,INSTEAD OF tunnel vision his alls thats needed plus of course the the experience of how to get the best from the type , overlarge specimens of the 80ilb plus can be very limited i prefer the 60 65 lber,2526 plenty ,when the breeding right ,of course ,perhaps this his just me rambling on if only ,Also i have never found the need for another dog to bring one on single dog single man what ever the game or quarry , none of this doubled up nonesense cant be doing with it .atb bunnys.

i think with bull crosses, straight bull x u are not getting a alround dog, usually a heavy slow dog with not many plus points around edible game but crossed back to other lurchers you sometimes get a decent off spring my mate has a good bitch of this type of breeding and ive got a saluki bull grey and he is a decent dog.i must say the bull blood does nothing for running daytime imo but make a decent lamp dogs.if i was going for another dog i would go for something with out bull as i dont see any need for it as the best couple of dogs ive seen never had a drop of bull blood
