Seen the heading 'FREAK HEAD' and thought you had pic's of paddy! I feel quite foolish now.

Always nice to get a roe head that is abit differnt any daft fecker can shoot a six pointer infact i have thrown hundreds of them away or gave them to the dogs but an unusal head is always a good talking point as it is always a debate to how they happend eg old age food supply wounded etc etc. ps tell the fanny to cool it with the bleach :11:

it was a no bad stalk , ive ot been doing this stalkin ( deer honest! ) caper too long but i was chuffed with it

 

shot at about 90 yards using homeload .2506 calibre and it folded! good bullet placement and minmal carcass damage so im certainly not complaing. guy who was with me reckoned it wasnt very old either and was certainly no sign of previous injury and he was in bloody good nick body wise etc etc.

 

funnily enuff similar beasts taken from there before , like i said im no expert but reckon it could be heridatery? ( spelling?)

think it might be a 'hummel' head, seen heads like it in reds, some stags grow to huge sizes with deformed or no antlers at all, due to damaged nuts they tend bulk up and grow fat like a steer, hormone thing. great looking head with a good story and shot with a great calibre

Your right there mik the big gay feckers looks like your chap damaged early in growth there sauer mate as you can see the broken tine has been polished on the stump that would give me the idea that it was broken before the antler were hard just an opinion mate but there could be other reasons. got a good few freek heads will put them up [bANNED TEXT] i work out how to put pics up.
