licence help needed....

Recommended Posts

I have moved to England and have applied for both my shotgun and firearm licence. I have given references from my best friends in northern Ireland who I have shot with for years but have been returned my application on the grounds they do not reside in Great Britian, surly this is prejudice and I was just wondering is the grounds for return of my application fair. remember Northern Ireland is part of the united kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and is part of a sovereign state governed under a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary system with its own assembly.

any help would be appreciate.

If they've stated that the reason for rejection is that he is not resident in the UK, then they are factually incorrect. Of course, the United Kingdom includes Northern Ireland, where as Great Britain doesn't.

It does sound rather flimsy, are you a member of a shooting organisation? You have to ask them, how the hell are you supposed to supply a referee who's known you for two years in GB when you've not lived here that long? It's nonsensical!
