There are always a lot of folk that talk about their good beddy lurchers. . . . .   Now maybe i'm going to get shot down over this, but where are all the top class working beddys that they are being

I like a good book but this isn't one save your money, unless you like reading repetative drivel, then waste £16 like I did

The bedlington was created as a small lurcher type dog in its own right in the first place was it not the origional old gypsie dog  

they would brobably have been a totaly diferent dog back in the day

I agree with that gafer but there are still a fair share of good beddyx about.But to see the breed run in it's prime in the old days would have been a sight to see.Wanting to know where the make up of this breed came about ect? Because this is a breed that suits me down to a T.

seen my first one in early eighties. a bloke from my area took a greyhound bitch to j.piggin to be lined by one of his dogs. dont know the history of piggins dogs. but a pup bought by a friend turned into a very good daytime rabbit dog and hunted up hare dog. this dog was also good on feather. a good hunting type lurcher.

Glover has just done a book of working beddies if your interested.......

Not read it matey, got his first book donkeys years ago, was trying my helpfull bit :laugh:
