subwoofer 13
Due to lack of interest I have unfortunately had to cancel this comp and pass-around. I'm relaunching this thread as a competition. Every participant of the pass-around will be entered into a draw to win one of the Predators, so after having a look at one close up, one of you will end up owning it. Unless I have a minimum of 20 participants I cannot run the pass-around or competition, so please sign up and let others know about it who might be interested. I've started this thread to offer a pass-around of the Armytek Predator Hunting light. Previously I have used several different hunting lamps including one which I reviewed here a little while ago: http://www.thehuntin...w-in-four-parts The Predator clearly out-throws this light giving an extended hunting range and impressive performance. I'd like other Hunting Life Forums members to be able to try out this so you can see what difference a quality light like this can make. One of the best features of this light is the excellent output regulation which ensure full output even with a mostly depleted battery. Your effective hunting range will not be reduced by this light! Compared to most hunting lights you will see for sale, this is a seriously well made light and is up to anything you can throw at it in normal use. The key features are: 1. Impressive reflector - excellent compact beam-thrower, maximum distance for this size of light. 2. Full time current stabilization for LED current 1.5 amps and one 18650 battery. You will have the maximum brightness even for almost discharged 18650 battery. 3. Convenient and total settings ability: many parameters can be tuned - the brightness, the quantity of modes, the frequency of strobe, the battery type, the type of stabilization (!!!), the type of auto-memorization etc. 4. Full compatibility with LiFePO4 batteries, which can be charged in 10 minutes. 5. The Predator has the reserve line for a backup of critical electronic circuits. Even after damage of main circuit - the system will work on reserve line which give more than 100 days of light that is enough for survival of man in case of emergency. The Rules 1. Must be over 18 2. Minimum of 6 months or 50 posts 3. Posted by minimum of RM Special Delivery 4. Torch to be held for maximum of one week 5. Names, addresses and a contact telephone numbers to be PM'd to me prior to passaround start. This is non negotiable. 6. Please dont abuse the torch (like they do in that crazy video for example) 7. Torch to be returned by final participant. Please reply to this thread to register your interest. I should have two Predators to pass around and each one will be passed around a group of 10 HLF members. subwoofer 13
sounds like a very good idea to me sort of try before you buy Exactly! I wouldn't pull the trigger on something without seeing it or reading some glowing reviews of it. It is one thing to be in a gun shop and see what their lights are like, but then a product like this you have to go on faith. Well hopefully if there are enough interested people I can get this pass-around off the ground. 1 thing you havnt mentioned . is the rrp of this bit of kitt ... i dont want to try it then relise i wouldnt be able to afford it they are £85 notes Thanks for answering before I could. Irish Lurcher 1,013
looks the part, bright???? Quote Link to post
subwoofer 13
looks the part, bright???? Of course this all depends on the context - next to an HID spotlight, no, to anything the same size, it is bright, has good throw and is programmable so you can get the output you want. It has the type of performance that makes you wonder why you ever had to carry around a lamp powered by a lead-acid battery. This is the opportunity for you to try it out yourself and possibly win it as well :-) Quote Link to post
paulus 26
i`ll give it a whirl Quote Link to post
subwoofer 13
Lots of views, but only a few have signed up. Is there any reason for the lack of interest? Unless I get another 15 people signed up I'll have to cancel the competition and pass-around. Any feedback is appreciated. Quote Link to post
