wexford Pa 84
i dont know why the last 2 posts are bein so dismissive of the irish terrier, Billy ur right, the Irish terrier were fearless and aggressive, i say were cos alot of the working blood is lost now.. They were used years for all sorts of vermin control fom badgers to wildcats and used in many if not all of Fell terrier or !akeland lines for their courage and good coat.. I seen 1 working about 3 seasons ago, we were invited down to a dig to my then hunting partners cousins permission, where he had a smashing lookin Irish terrier who looked worked, he was too big for earthwork but when we open up the game was in a nice big pocket, we hadnt any pups out at the time so he let in the Irish terrier and he drew the game out about 6 ft on the sod, just enough for us to take it and release it again, he was a strong game terrier just like any wheaten terrer or that of its kind 4 Quote Link to post

lurcher330 2,301
when you x them into greyhound they can make a decent lurcher but lurchers don't do the work terriers do and a lot of people forget about the greyhound breeding in lurchers most greyhounds will deal with any quarry but they just lack the stamina that needed for a good day or nights work Quote Link to post
