was watching a ting last night on the euro crisis.not only is germanys economy strong and they are bailing out europe.did you know if a german company has to make its workers redundant,they have to pay a whole years salary to the laid of worker,and then if they still dont have job they have to pay 35%of the workers dole money if they still havent a job after a year.which tends to make those companys look out for thier workers.and they are the last to be laid of.why cant this country be patriotic towards its people,instead of looking at the working classes in this country as an annoyance.its time we started to adopt the same traits as other nations and put our own people first.

Same here in Spain when it comes to healthcare but only if you are a non EU resident or not registered as living here with a social security number (E111 card is acceptable but mine is exp lol). I had to go to hospital not long ago and didn't have my card with me but had the number, they have told me I have one month to present my card or I have to pay for the treatment and trust me it aint cheap plus need to go back for surgery so it is really totting up the bill My mrs is Mexican and she had to pay 70 quid just to see a GP. God bless the NHS

 

Bonus is though they hand out 15day sick notes like sweeties :laugh: not good if you earn most of ya money through commission though :laugh:

 

Oh and there aint no housing benefit etc here and you only get paro (Dole) if you have worked for so long and then what you get is propotional to what you have earnt and paid into the system But workers get shit on here with daft three month contracts etc

Aye but as rihog said the Euro has f****d up this country, prices for everything except alcohol and tobbacco are fookin extortionate. Rizlas 1euro that's 80p petrol is the same price as UK but most people earn a lot less here. To be able to live WELL in a city like Barca or Madrid for example you need to be earning at least 50 - 60,000 euros a year. House prices in the major cities make the UK's look like pennies, easily comparable with the more affluent areas of London or Manchester etc. Another problem is that areas such as Madrid and Catalonia are proping up the entire Spainish economy.

Nah mate they'll loose a wee bit of investment but they will return to the deutchmark and be as strong as ever. What is needed is for coutries such as Greece, Spain, Portugal etc to leave the euro return to their respective currencies and devalue them. This way they will eventually return to economic growth. The issue with the eurozone is that the individual countries cannot devalue their euro to make them more competitive to the international market.

germany is still very strong im manufactoring so providing there products stay high quality they will have growth /and /or stability providing they are not bailing out the southern europe ,, lets be fair the u/k got sh..t we sold all the technoligy to the japs and chineese ,, ..now we are just a service nation !! .with no manufactoring base !! coal gone ,steel gone . shipbuilding .gone and a whole lot more ,, we are just the worlds dustbin ,, for spongers !! of all nations ..

The Euro was a Pipedream of Capatilists wanting to rival the USA and its Dollar.

 

Well its all went tits up.

 

The sooner we all go back to our own individual currencys the better for trade as a whole and the tourism industry will grow once more for the likes of Spain, Greece, Turkey ect ect.

 

Close all the borders again which would also make immigration between Europe a lot harder.

I cant remember the exact statistics,but I can give a rough approximation,in 2010-2011 the % of young unemployed spanish kids coming to the UK to find work rose to something like 70% compared to the 2008-2009 period,I used to chat to LOADS of lads,spanish nationals,down in La Linea whose full time occupation was Cigarette-smuggling,massive amounts men,women,and kids flocking to the 2 tobbacco wholesalers just past immigration,I even saw women sheltered by the bus-stop stuffing packets in their knickers,and I sat in the burger king on the spanish side watching their paymaster hand out cash,as one guy said to me "We need to eat" theres 6000 spaniards walk across the runway each morning to get to work on Gib,the spanish police thankfully are corrupt as f*ck,I cant see the situation getting any better in the short-medium term.

The European union has great potential BUT and it's a big but, the need for each individual country to have the right to govern it's own land with it's own laws is paramount!!!
