What collars do you have on your whippet?I've got a Sunday best leather one gifted kindly off Bulldoug but I'm after one for everyday use, trying to steer away from leather and try something different. looked all over the net but they only have martingdales. Any ideas?

Not gay no mate. It's a figure of speech. You know when something is too good to use every day and only gets used once in a while? Rather than say all that you can just shorten it down to 'Sunday best' (thumbs)

Erm her kneck is 10 inches mate. Pm me if you want.

My whippet and lurcher have webbing collars for everyday use, ours are handmade and too fancy for you guys, but you can buy plain ones in 1.5 or 2 inch widths to suit the dog. They don't rub the underside of the dogs neck and when they roll in fox, seal or anything the collars go straight in the washing machine and come out perfect. I have spent hours trying to scrub the smell of fox sh!t from leather collars with no success and they end up in the bin.

lol, i know mate , i was only pulling your pisser, there are a few web sites that do "nice" collars, but they seem to charge a fair bit, i got mine at a game fair and it only cost €5, good thick leather and does the job.

IF they're well made. Leather can shrink/ expand, colour can fade and as the dog scratches it's neck it can mark the collar. I like leather but was trying to look for something different

So what if they fade, shrink and expand lol usee them since I first had dogs never had that problem. There going to get sctatches etc when there on a working dog ffs

Jf1970- I know mate. I was just pulling your pisser back mate lol

The collar she has on just now is a small whippet collar but it's on the last loop and the thick part of the collar is on the side of her neck when walking on the lead. Cost me £4 from the greyhound stand and it's decent. Shame it's getting small.

Was hoping somebody had a website that

Done webbing collars or similar. Might have to

Settle for leather.
