memorable swindon trip

i would like to personally thank DAVYT63 for inviting me up to visit him and having an excelent trip.when i arrived he was kind enough to make a bacon butty and a nice cup of tea.he then took me to his local hft course to meet his friends,zero the airguns and have a go at the course.afteer completing the course we went to one of his local permissions to do a spot of rabbit shooting before it got dark.we managed to pot 3 between us ( 2 to davy -only one could we locate ) and 1 to me.we then went back to the car for a cuppa and then had a session with the hmr and nv .we were fortunate enough to shoot another 3 before it was time for me to leave.all in all it was a thoroughly enjoyable trip.i hope to be able to go up again and to stay longer and meet him and his mates.davy is a top bloke very friendly,willing to help you with advice on your shooting and to take you on his permission.thanks again atb.

it was good to meet you!

and spend some time with another THL member,i am glad you enjoyed the HFT and a great score on your first time HFT Shooting.

the rabbit shooting was a bonus,and i liked the Pulsar n550 you have,a real nice piece of kit.

 

as described we had a few bunnies in the day mine were 43&45 yds,but Dogvixen got the longest shot of the day shooting a lovely 55/58 yds with his trusty AAS200.

 

and also got the longest shot of with the 17hmr, i missed 2 but nailed a long shot.cracking shooting on both behalf's

any time you want to come on over Russell you are more than welcome,hope to see you in December ?

and i hope you can make the meet in June,its going to be a cracker!!!!

Whilst I was at Davy's I got to learn his secret for shooting Maggies (to which I am TOTALLY sworn to secracy by the way) whilst his lovely wife made us both a lovely ham sarnie

 

It's fantastic when we get together with other members. Hope to meet you in Nottingham next year Russ

i realy enjoyed the hft,and learnt a lot , and a good set of blokes.i will definitely try to attend the meet in june and hopefully try to arrange another trip out with davy before xmas.lovely places to shoot with a good ammount of bunnies,unlike where i live which is barren at the moment.if there was good sport i would arrange a trip for them to come down to me.atb and good luck to all of you.

A special well done to Russell too for that excellant first time score on HFT of 51, and in the wind too. Cracking shooting buddy .
