Malt 379
Just a small part of the flock that flew over our heads on Saturday, didn't have time to adjust the camera to take a video of them.. Flocks like that are still the norm round here.
kenny14 656
If that's just part of the flock, there must've been some number there malt. Sadly they're nowhere near as numerous as they used to be around my way, though there does seem to be afew more this year, so hopefully they're on the way back
Tallyho 181
We get them here, and when they all get together some of the displays are fantastic , like a big black ball of smoke moveing about , brilliant to watch
Malt 379
If that's just part of the flock, there must've been some number there malt. That was just the tail end of it mate. The main body had already gone away too far to picture by the time I had the camera out. The numbers haven't really dropped at all round here. Some members on here got upset a while back when they were still on the Welsh General Licence (up until the start of the current one, they're off it again now..) & I stated they were still present here in high enough numbers to warrant control of them. It's actually made me realise how much I take sights like that for granted. To me they were just vermin fit to be dispensed with until I realised they were actually becoming rare in other parts of the country. I look at them in a different light now. I know what you mean, I remember when there'd be litterally thousands covering every hedgeline each spring/early summer, and all of us kids would be stalking them with our catapults and airguns. As i said, there does seem to be a few more around at present, but I don't know whether I'll ever see the numbers that were about back then.
