hound x terriers

how many of you have terrier cross hounds. i would be interested in how they have turned out and how they are working. above or below. beagle/teckle or any other crossed with any terrier breed. also any pics of them would be good. cheers cs

be good to see a pic. for a long time now the main priority in breeding terriers seems to be breeding for courage. and keeping tight to good lines this is good if it works for folk you cant knock it. however folk are that worried about loseing working qualities they rarely go outside a line never mind crossbreed. yet in my younger days their was a lot of very usefull terriers that sported blood from other breeds. the benefits of hound blood cant be ignored so why are they so rare. compared to say bull crosses.

Ive seen a few terrierx beagles working cover,useful dogs,but the ones ive seen have had a tendency to wander to far on a line and go deaf,i prefer a Beddy.

There used to be a quite few lads that hunted scratch packs of beagle and beagle/terrier crosses down in my neck of the woods. Accounted for a fair few fox driving cover to waiting guns and the odd lurcher. Happy days.......

she made 14 1/2 inchs busher and masterpool bred them i asked for the smallest bitch in the litter hasent had a winter yet just summer so on what ive seen so far she finds very well hunt differnt to my spainal xpatt

had this cross over 20 years ago she was mute but catch rabbits for fun thats how plummer started with plummers begal x russalls a mate had pups direct of this cross great bushers
