on Friday night i phoned my pals they are twins if the fancy'd a a bit of lamping with the dog for a couple of hours. they said yes so got the lamping gear ready and met them at my grans which is 5 mins from the fields. but they where like an other 2 guys with them i dident want to go but the came down so i just went. one of the guys brung his BSA lighten i think. as wee got 2 the first field shown the lamp FOX so we we tried to squeaked it in a bit closer but they where al to noisey.they where evan shouting that was that i said if they shout one more time they can go home. we only got one chase of a rabbit but missed it cause of them kept standing in front of the lamp that was it i said. get the gun out and we will try and shoot a pigeon or 2 cause it was a bright night. we got half way down one of the strip woods but there was still to many leaves on the trees and it was really bushy so at the end of the night one of the guys almost shot me dog he thought he seen something but it wasn't that was after when i told him put the gun away i went mental at him i said if u shot my dog i would of shot u . so that was that a total night mare and wont be going back out lamping with them four in my life they dident half a clue what was going on

If i ever took out a novice i would very strongly but still friendly and politely read them the riot act re how they are to behave before we get out the car. DO NOT get in front of me, DO NOT get in the way of the light, if i am following a course and the light comes your way, lay down. DO NOT TALK, if you need to say something to me at all do it NOW or whisper. Pick your feet up etc etc.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect

      Evening all,
I'm lucky enough to have first pick from a friends litter. He’s crossed his Saluki dog with his Collie Bull GH bitch. I’ve only seen videos of the litter as he’s based in UK. Few different characters in the litter, some sit reluctant off in the back ground others play among themselves two are incredibly forward one more than the other.

What key things do you look for when picking a litter? I’ve mostly ran mine on rabbits, reds and some others.

      Go stead,
      oshea

Anyone ever worked a deaf lurcher by any chance?..reason behind the question is I’ve bred a retired dog to a Merle bitch an I took my pup from it the biggest of the lot black and white with two ice blue eyes but I’ve noticed he can’t hear anything bangs or anything like that there’s only a odd reaction to some stuff but his eyesight is 100% very good eyes. I’m just curious because it’s all I have from this old dog and I was thinking could I use the pup lamping and out with terriers any info be [BANNED TEXT]. The father was not Merle only mother...
