im thinking about getting a small lurcher just for rabbit to start off. I guess mostly lamp and day time bushing with a little ferreting.

 

Im based in south Wales, i fancy a bedlington x whippet. Are these much slower than whippet?

 

But I've read about Powell pocket rockets. He's only down the road. Would these be better?

 

Anyway what's the best crosses for me?

if your doing alot of bushing i would go for the beddy X as the coats better and theres a little less chance of the skin tearing compared to a pure whippet.

lol if you like ya dogs budd . he carnt walk right for obviuse reasens and its very hard to get this dog fitt butt he can run alott better than he walk still catches a feww bunys

nice bedlington whippet back over a full whippet or collie cross what id like right now for round here buddy.

will it be a kennel dog or kept indoors ? id go for a beddy/whippet butt you can't go wrong with abit of collie in the mix

good little dogs powell b/w , they line bred dogs been tested and most lads are happy with them, and up the road from you thats where i would go .

persnaly i keep away from big names breeeder as they tend 2 farming puppies out rather then putting the hard work and testing their dogs imo beddy/whippets are good rabbit dogs but i go for 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy less terrier more whippet try and see the parent work aswell ,some can yapp on if not brought on correctly all the best with your search

also like 2 add that lurchers can be just as good or not better rabbiting dogs
