jocky 198
had a day ferreting today, started off well 5 out of first lot of holes, then nothing out the next 3 sets we done. done one set we had not done before on a steep bank only 7 holes, put the old jill in, as if there is any at home she will find them.. after about 15 min one hits the net, and another comes up just touches net and goes back down. after about another 20 min no sign of her, could not find her with ferret finder, so puts one of this years young down, after about another 10 mins the old jill comes out. the batterie was not working in the coller, it was when we started the day.then we could not locate the young jill we put in. stayed as long as we could till it was dark and still no sign of her, so we blocked the 7 holes off with some big rocks.. will be back in the moning to see if we can find her...day started well then just got wores as the day went on... AndyL 0
Priceless when they show up again, just when you start thinking the worst. Finding her is payback for persevering, no doubt she will pay you back with plenty of rabbits. Quote Link to post
