mangy1983 51
Shot a rabbit yesterday with the growth pictured below on its belly. Its hard like a scab but not sure what it is. I searched the forum using the words "rabbit" + "growth" but nothing came up plus l googled it and all the results were to do with pet rabbits. Anyone know what it is and more importantly is the rabbit edible? thanks Callum Edited November 9, 2011 by mangy1983 Quote Link to post

mangy1983 51
Possibly an old tick abscess? Possibly mate, Think l'll leave it to the buzzards don't wanna take the risk of eating it myself. cheers Callum Quote Link to post
zx10mike 137
looks like you did that one a favor.can't help sorry,my advice feed that one to a mate and see what happens to him Quote Link to post
HUnter_zero 58
You would have to cut the abscess open to inspect it. Looks like a pellet wound to me but it could be anything. I tend not to eat anything that has abscesses or injuries. John Quote Link to post

mangy1983 51
Me neither mate - any growths means a discarded bunny for me. Gonna chuck it tomorrow in the croft see if l can entice some crows to shoot but if the buzzards beat them to it l'll watch them instead. I love watching them soaring above the house. Thanks for the replies guys, their much appreciated cheers Callum Quote Link to post
