paulus 26
well to tell truth its actually a bronze an not really a chocolate an if the lad had wanted to see him work i would have had no problem with that an i didnt want to see his bitch work cause i wasnt having a pup i got enough on at minute an was answering the lads ad to help him out once he has the pups there out of my juristiction lol so to speak so what he does with them is his business not mine but the dogs a pretty decent worker an would more then likely produce a few workers even if his bitch didnt work paulus IMO that just sums you up, if you owned a dog it would be a WORKING dog..not showing, work comes 1st, colour, looks, coat and everything else would just be a bonus. i couldnt give a f*ck if it was bald aslong as it done what i asked of it. i think your an idiot for making that comment. old timer...your a fecking pisstake why would i be jealous of you digging with sticks who on the right mind would go digging without a fecking shovel????? i dont know anybody who would put his dog over someones bitch unless either hes seen the bitch work and is happy to let his dog serve the bitch, OR heard off genuine TERRIERMEN that the bitch is worthy of breeding from. if i owned a dog worth breeding from id never let him serve a bitch off THL, WHY? because if the lad that was asking was genuine enough surely local lads would either let him use a dog of theirs OR if they dont have a dog... do they best to sort a tidy dog out to serve the bitch, once people start using THL looking for studs for terriers IMO thats a big mistake and alot of the time on here money starts comeing into it. 1 more thing old timer...price of a pup??????? why sell them? keep whats needed AND/OR give 1 to friends in need and put the rest in the bucket rather than sell them! rant on. bold maybe white definaltly not   Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
My take on the initial points would be this, IF i was asking for a stud dog to put over a bitch, my first concerns would be the dogs PERFORMANCE in the field, also its temperament, ancestory and conformation, THEN i would worry about colour and coat type etc. The main problem is in recent years chocolate in patterdales has become the merle in lurchers of the 80/90's, performance should come first...... nuggett 58
that was the point i was trying to make if this lad is looking to improve his yard with workers then surly he want to see [bANNED TEXT] ever dog he uses work or someone he trust see it work because ive seen sum shit chocs dog in my time thats why i find it hard to belive he aint doing it for money if he is willing to use any choclate dog with no breeding behind it my point thats all Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
Exactly i love choccy drops and wanted chocolate pups as they sell for more......i mean the look better. I used this dog in my line, unfortunately the pups from the resulting union grew to 24" and 70lb, BUT on the plus side i made 3 grand...... Quote Link to post
