all depends on feeding and if they get left alone,to make new forms ,best thing is to pestcontrol land first before letting them on new land as there not as clever at first and you get vermin mostly stoats and foxes who will kill a hare if a bit green to area ,there areas jumping with hares as the land is looked after , they like rape feilds for feeding good cover ,turnip crops ,not god for coursing but good for keeping them there , hope use get on with it ,

if you put hares up regular on the land you will soon come to realise they use the same escape routes time after time and if persued run the same circuits, its a simple matter of putting your net where you know its going to go, after that you could use anthing that will chase, you can even do it yourself on foot

been caught flushing with dogs too gun on permission, argued the point was told by plod they would arrest next time they caught me and i could have my day in court to explain the "grey areas of the hunting act" also the land owner would be stood up there with me!! with a possible 2k fine etc etc basically local plod will charge you as they have no idea other than anyone in possesion of a running dog is a "wrong un"

Classing any form of hunting as cruel is why we are in the position we are, its pest control at the end of the day........

Not all Police have a full understanding of the laws on hunting,thats why they arrest you and let somebody else figure it out.Anybody hunting fox,s with dogs have had to adapt and change to hunt within the confines of the law,the same as with Beagle packs,who can now only legally pursue bunny,s.The difference between regulated hound packs and lurchers is,the packs are more closely scrutinised and have had to bear the brunt of the fallout from the act,the sensible lurcher owners lead a more secretive, clandestine lifestyle and can usually go about their business without drawing attention to their activities in the field.
