the thing is people allow the police to get away with all this harrasement .its not illegal to drive around at any time of the day or night with dogs and or lamps in the car .weather they know your lamping or not .to prove it old bill has to catch you red handed in the act its as simple as that .they are taking the piss when they confiscate vehicles etc before your proven guilty its a damge limitation exercise just to piss you of .the answer is to get a brief onto the case and sue them through a specialist solicitor .it costs the police a fortune to respond to solicitors and it comes out of the police force concerneds bubget so after a while and a few complaints it gets very costly for the police so in the end they will stop taking peoples dogs and vebicles without evidence .they will continue to do this and more as long as we all sit back and allow them to get away with it . i know of one particular family that sued the police and the case dragged on until the police agreed to settle out of court it cost them nearly 60k .these solicitors specialise in these cases and the police have to pay theyre own legal costs what ever the outcome the majority of complainants get legal aid so they have to pay nothing. what ever the outcome with it dragging on winning dont come into it with the police its just an increase in costs the longer it goes on so inevitably they settle out of court to minimise costs .ive put these solicitors up before they are called russel and co of malvern in worcestershire .they operate country wide .it only takes a few complaints and in a year or two lincs police would be looking at legal costs of thousands upon thousands of pounds in time they will think twice about just stopping people on suspicion of something and falsly imprisoning them and taking vehicles of them .like i said if every one just sits back and allows them to continue doing this it will only get worse and eventually with the propaganda they also spout out through the media it will lead to a ban on lamping as well as coursing. but if every one fights back through suing them they will eventually slacken of and leave people alone and stop riding rough shod over us all.

good post brookie, and correct information a lot of it is about money, just to get my bit in, i would like to say another good tip which pisses them off, if you get arrested, as soon as they get you down the cop station, tell the custody officer you feel unwell, (if theres more than one of you all do it) tell them you want to see a doctor, they must respond to this immediately, each time the doctor comes out it costs the police £90 for each person the doctor see,s the police hate it, as it comes out of there money.

this in my opinion is purley a money making thing the car that was taken will have to be paid for to be relesed . they are using an unworkable law ( hunting act) to enforce a law that goes way back ( poaching) the esiest way to combat this is to carry your permissin slip with you at all times and make sure that the land your on is yours to lamp . and the land owner is willing to back you

 

we have to come together on this if one gets stopped we all fight back involve as many organisations as possible , solisiters aswell as said allready the longer it takes to sort out the more money it will cost the police . after all the police force is run as a buisiness and if our harrasment becomes counter productive from a cost point of wiew it will have to stop or the police will face further cuts

the law have interviwed one bloke hes in side .at the moment doing two years for robbing old ladies .they are in the process of charging him for burglary etc on my property .and hes given them enough info on the other scabs .so i cant say to much more at the moment

been there and if you counter attack cleverly they soon get pissed of , as they hate there inspector the papers on there back for doing out of duty work , there easy beat if you the law and have written slips to be some were in the vicinity ,i could tell atale or two but not for public forum as you never no they could be eaves dropping the brave boys
