EDDY PLENTUS 4
hi pal, i dont think youl find any one breed or x breed better than another as long as a certain dog wants to work it will work, your probably better of with one with a good coat though Quote Link to post
chappy030 5
i have a border terrier x beagle cocker and she works very good. she has border coat and works bush very very well.never tryed ground work for fox though just rabbits. hope that is any help to you mate Quote Link to post
Rhodey 96
terrier beagle cocker thats a very ramdom mix, put it to a lurch and you have every possible hunting scenario covered with that dog. Quote Link to post
EDDY PLENTUS 4
mine is russel x patterdale great worker in all cover but gets very sore after a hard day in brambles shes a short coat, thats why i recomend one with a brocken or ruff coat . Quote Link to post
chappy030 5
put it to a lurch now that just been daft. border has the coat or two coats in fact and beagle x cocker gives nose and more drive in think cover.to be honest to much nose from the beagle in mine but with the cocker it helps mate with recall thank god. theres nothing wrong with crosses mate ye get the best off both worlds.
