kanigra 110
Bruiseing has gone around the chest now.Lump has gone down alot but is hard now like a hard boiled egg under the skin still reddy pink so guess the blood vessel has still got some sort of trauma. Have done what you guys advised me,no pricking it,lead walks only etc. He's not lame or stiff & is bouncing around like usual but the injury is in one of those deep dips in his chest & like i said the lump is much smaller but hard as a stone. Any advice? or is he on his way to a full recovery? Its been just over 3 weeks now does he still need more time? Cheers.
skycat 6,174
If the lump is hard then it is either full of dried blood or it is scar tissue. It might go in time, but if you are concerned then take dog to vet.
kanigra 110
It does feel like hard muscley lump. But he seems fine & has done all the way through either than feeling abit sorry for himself & stiff when it first happened. I would take him to the vets but there small animal practices round here & don't know anything about running dogs so a waste of time & money really. Do you know of any greyhound vets in Dorset skycat or anyone? As the greyhound vet that we use to have round here is retiring.

Is there still a vet at Poole greyhound track, I did make contact with him a few years ago but did not get round to using him.
