stealthy1 3,964
The yapper does sound quieter in this vid than the last, so it seems headway is being made with it, the lads are only young, so give them a break Quote Link to post
NEWKID 27,089
Keep the vids coming lads, I think most of the lads are offering you advice which from some of the experianced lads on here could be useful. Keep at em and keep enjoying your dogs, you got to make a few mistakes to learn anything and as long as your enjoying yourselves thats all that matters really. Quote Link to post
troter58 1,711
so long as the dogs and you lads enjoyed your selfs its all good lads atb troter Quote Link to post

The 'advice' iv been given i will use in the next videos, so look out for them next weekend! Also, in the next clips i look forward to a bit more 'advice'. Hopefully to get the best out of our working lurchers. Quote Link to post

iceman001979 1,316
There not offering advice there having digs in a sly way.Swear the f**k most off you must be the best hunters going everything done perfect or not done at all. Most our dogs prop drink out off gold bowls there that good and feed only steak and gravy and have there own double king size bed wise up. The dogs are young and the boys are happy with the way there hunting not like there on the lamp and the wee dog is scaring everything in sight is it a wee yap here and there does no harm when there young.Could be worse could be just standing there taking no interest . Young dogs working off the lead watching all the holes waiting on bolter's nothing wrong with that.Everyone that has something bad to say stick up a type off your dogs when they where young and show us how its done?????? Calm down sunshine. If everyone just said 'nice vid', 'nice dog' etc etc, it's be a pretty dull place. Now i don't want to get into an argument with you on someone elses thread, but yapping DOES make a difference to running and catching game daytime. And the advice about calling the dogs back from the mouth of the holes IS a useful tip, that will ultimatly make a ferreting trip more successful. It's just advice. Quote Link to post

Hopefully to get the best out of our working lurchers. I can gaurantee you mate I was in no way having a pop at you at all, I enjoyed your clip, and you obviously enjoyed your day. Some of the " advice" which could be useful would be trying to keep the dogs back from the hole a bit ( my terrier is a nightmare for it, but my little lurcher aint so bad) you sometimes stop a bolt when they're too close and end up having to dig ( I don't love digging). I also find my dog runs better up hill than down. |As said mate no dig at all from me I like to see lads out there doing it and not many put photos up let alone vids so well done. Quote Link to post
jezza 126
thanks iceman. Ideation- it would also be a boring place if every dog was perfect, so ill look forward to taking some of the 'advice' on board, but i can see where iceman is coming from, its a pup at the end of the day son. iceman001979 1,316
Yes l agree with the dogs around the holes but they learn in time dog and owners not looking a fight just when people put up there dogs on type on here there is always so one who looks for the cracks in the paper instead off the positives Quote Link to post
