Ok, Ian. I haven't actually checked my bank account for a couple of days now and don't want to go do it now as I'll loase all track of what I'm doing in here. But, by the end of today, I'll Pay Pal you what was sent to me here. That'll effectively finalise the monetary side of things. Ye'll have the grand and final total. Then it really is down to what to do with the money.

 

It's an awkward one as it is and, I feel, getting no easier as this thing's running out of steam. People seem to be thinking along the lines of, " Well, I suggested ..... They suggested ..... Someone'll sort it all out in a minute and I'll go with that flow. " But it hasn't been sorted, as ye say. And I hope we won't now start going round in another circle on this.

 

Anyway, if you're off again, nothing anyone can do about that. The Fund can just stay where it'll be, locked up in ye Pay Pal account. I'm just happy to get that side of things finalised. Deciding what to do with it can maybe go on while ye away and the answer be sat waiting for ye when ye get back.

 

I wonder if we might manage a meeting of contributors, in a private room in Chat sometime? May help to beat it out between ourselves actively? What ever. But ye'll hear from my Pay Pal today and that'll wrap up that side of things

OK, here's my 2 pence worth ...........

 

 

Now, at present, I haven't donated to Lamper/Gatherer's fund, reason I haven't so far isn't because I'm tight, it's because I was waiting to see where it went, I had my finger on the button when I thought it was going to the lads family, and again when it was suggested to give a chunk to Lurcherbitch and her rescue, but it seems it's all still up in the air.

 

 

I don't understand how it can't be blindingly obvious where a proportion (if not all) of it needs to go, we're all to some extent "dog people" right? Lurcherbitch has come on here this morning and asked for help URGENTLY, what's the problem? See how much would keep her dogs fed (or rather the dogs that people have dumped) for a reasonable amount of time, and give it to her.

I would hope something could be sorted this weekend, and hope no one minds my big fat nose in the middle of all this, but to come on here "cap in hand" surely that means she needs help?!

 

If I'd seen her thread earlier then I'd have sent my donation straight to her today, as it is I'll send it Monday and hope that is soon enough.

 

It seems to me that this fund is in danger of becoming someones problem, when it shouldn't be hassle at all.

 

There's an easy end to this, I have no idea nor is it any of my business how much is in the fund, but I bet you it would make all the difference in the world to LB.
