Guest Ditch_Shitter
Ok, people. First of all I'd like to personally thank All who stood up for this one and gave something to the cause. I genuinely haven't got a clue how many or who were involved. I obviously have no access to Ian's admin (PP) account. I do know a good few have asked me where they may send a cheque so that I can pass their non PayPal donations onto Ian. Those people will recieve a PM from Ian, in due course, to verify he's recieved that same, via my own PP account. (In short; You send me the cheque / cash. I put that in my regular bank account and send the same ammount to The Fund via my PP Account. Ian gets that, with your Handle attatched, and drops you a line to say it's now in The Fund) Now then; What's the story? Well, I've known it for possibly days now. I exchanged a serise of PM's with Darren, the friend of " Lamper / Gatherer " 's family. Guy speaking for the widow. I've sat on the result simply because my own personal life has been so hectic and exhausting this last week or so, I just haven't had time to compose my thoughts and get round to writing This Post with a clear head. I'm feeling on top of things right now, so here we all are. Ok. LG ~ as I'm sure most of us intuitively guessed from the first ~ had cancer. That's why they took him back into hospital. However, Darren wanted us all to know that is was actually a cardiac arrest, while in hospital, which ended LG's life prematurely. So now we all know. LG's widow has passed on this message to us all: Thank you all so much for your great gesture of human kindness. But there is no way she could accept the fund. (This, it is indicated, is mean't in a nice way) But she agrees that sending any monies to a Charity would be a good idea. LG's computer has, by now, been handed in at the shop to be erased and sold. Period. There can and will be no further contact with Darren or LG's widow and family. So. There we have it. 1. If anyone's unhappy with that? A PM to Ian will see your Donation returned to you. No questions asked. No names, pack drill or recriminations. If anyone sending to me feels that way? I'll destroy the cheque or return the cash. 2. Those who are happy to see their Donation handed to a Charity? They will be. 3. Which Charity? Now Please Do feel free to PM me with ANY questions / suggestions ye may have. I am also - obviously - perfectly happy to pass you the three or four PM's which passed between Darren and I, should anyone else wish to read the entirety of the short bursts from which the above has been cribbed. I was simply acting as go between on All our behalfs and have no more place in this than anyone else who has contributed. Now we need to decide, among ourselves, where to send the as yet unknown money. Quite how we're to sort this one out, I don't honestly know. Suggestions ~ from Donators only ~ please? And, from me; A Huge Personal Thanks to you people. You Stood Up! I'm proud of you all

charlotte hill 0
A difficult one.....If LG'S widdow had suggested a charity I would have stood by that, no matter what my personal opinion of that charity was. But with no lead at all it's going to be tricky for all donator's to agree with a Hunting/Dog fund to donate too. I am happy to leave my money in as a donation to LG'S fund providing it now goes to a charity I am happy with...... The Lurcherbitch idea is a good one as I know she does good work, and as stated LG was a lurcher person. Also, some kind of cancer charity could be looked into, hospices etc......and if enough donations were made, why not do a 50/50 split with Lurcherbitch and one of those??? That way we could do our bit towards helping with this evil illness, and helping with one of LG'S favourite breeds........... Just a few suggestions

Kay 3,709
I would aslo be happy for the money gathered to be split between 2 charitys, i do think its important that we dont forget people charitys , as much as i love animals , so i think the lurcher rescue & a cancer charity is a brilliant idea
