jigsaw 11,863
what do all you shooting guys think of a syntethic stock as oppose to a walnut etc,Im wondering if theyd take more abuse.Your opinions would be appreciated, thanks. Quote Link to post
Yokel Matt 918
I think the whole point of them is to be able to take abuse to be honest - they also have the added bonus on not wharping if moisture penetrates which is a risk with wood stocks of any type. Quote Link to post
jigsaw 11,863
ok matt thanks,i'll look into the cost of a new one and see if I dont get a stroke at the price. Quote Link to post

jigsaw 11,863
geordie its a cz 527 in 223.John Galway was speaking to the chap from PSE COMPOSITE today,500 euros for a new stock syntethic make. I wont be geting it fixed any time soon it looks.Iolar was looking at boyds stocks tonight, they look the job and come finishes too,was taking a fancy to the SS EVELOUTION style.$99 and whatever on postage. It seems a good job just hope the customs dont screw a load more on to it when it arrives.IL I think the blood drained from my brain when I saw all the goats just waiting to be shot.I thought to myself if I just drop down and stay out of sight...........well I did exactly that .The worst part was when I regained my composure and the herd were still standing watching me and I had no way of taking the shot, torture Quote Link to post

Is the SS Evolution suitable for the CZ 527, just that I don't see it on either of the CZ pages, just 452's? Maybe they fit each other, I don't know. I figured Edi wouldn't be too easy on the pocket. Handled one of his stocks in Fergal Whites before, real light and I don't think even you would break it lol. If all else fails give the last fella I linked to a ring, see what he charges for repairs? Guest thebigdog
if your ordering from the U.S, give the company a ring and ask them to mark the stock as a repair on the shipping info, you wont get hit with the import tax 1 Quote Link to post
