falcongit 242 Posted November 6, 2011 Report Share Posted November 6, 2011 hi all,i went out this morning while the wife was a sleep,i got up about 6.30am and got my gear together and drove down to my permission for a couple of hours and no more as it was sunday and i spend time with the wife and go shopping keeps her happy and the grandaughter so try not to be to long.There was not alot about,had awalk around the field which can take about 30 mins each side not alot of activity about,then i spotted one hare sat down near the edge of the field so had to walk the other way because of my sent and come the other way with wind in my face they do have a very good sense of smell if they wiff you there gone,not that i smell before anyone says owt lol,got close as i could then had to get on my belly to get closer got piss wet though but thats hunting,this one was very hard to get to, all i had was a tuft of grass to hide behind, it was so open,got to 20m away got my breath back took aim and one in the bag for dinner,baged it up and went home to skin it and prep it for later for when we got back from shopping. cheers symon Quote Link to post
