danw 1,748
Right here goes my history of cars........First i had the renault 5 gtx....a 1.7 shoebox...many a fine race in that car... Then i upgraded to a 'L' reg Fiat Uno Turbo, cracking car when folk thought they "Just nip past this old uno" and bye bye..... Then i got my first newer aged car, a Proton Satria GTI......great car look wise and awesome on corners..that was the Lotus Tuning...unfortunately the performance was shite... Then i got my baby....my Subaru Impreza STI Type UK.............absolutely cracking car and should never have parted....the most fun ever. Even some bikes had a hard time with that car on the back roads.... Put some pics on....none of them my cars and the Uno i had was white.... Oh and the car i always wanted when young was the Fiesta RS Turbo.....never got round to getting one......maybe one day... Should have kept the scoob mate
Ossie n Arch 1,682
I suppose this just creeps in being a 97. Impreza Catalunya 178 out of 200 made. Immaculate inside and out, all original. 73k on the clock (40 of which were mine) when i sold it to my dickhead of a brother in law (TWAT) after i'd owned it for 9 years. Only for him to total it within 3 months of having it.......TWAT. I'd not long had 4 new Pirelli P Zeros fitted which cost £500. Superb driving car, always brought a smile when i was driving it. Never had it flat out though. Previous to the Subaru i owned a Escort RS Turbo, which i did manage to redline (And a bit more) My best car however, was a Mk2 XR2 which used to fly. Did alot of fishing at the time and was up and down the country fishing matches. Never took long to get home.

Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
I have been very lucky my first car was a mistubusi turbo 2000 on a y reg cracking car very under rated must be a very sort after classic now. Next up was the reanult 5 apline turbo amazing quick little car. Then a escourt rs2000 then got into to fast bikes. And then a couple of years back I had a E34 M5 then came across a oringnal E28 M5 of which there was only 187 RHD UK cars. Which I sold and a long story short I made a complete knob of myself and lossed a good friendship that I made though being a cock. But I rue the day now that folded passed hands that day as she was a cracker and a chance in lifetime buy. Cheers Cookie

DIVERD 34
I still have my 70's, 80's and 90's cars - that are my daily drivers! I have a 78 1500 triumph spitfire, currently in the garage undergoing a rolling restoration for next summer. A couple of welds required and a lick of paint but nothing serious (i hope) My Winter, shooting and fishing car is an 89 Defender 200TDI 110 station wagon - a great truck regularly up to the top of the mountains stalking and at the grouse. I really like it and often use it as my daily driver. And my "nice" car is a xj8 3.2 Jag, a bit thirsty but a nice way to get about. It is old but near perfect and well maintained. Ok, they are all old, total age is 65 years and 7.2 ltr. Insurance costs each year for all 3 fully comp is £465. The landy and spitfire are incredibly basic mechanically and very cheap for parts. The jag is nice and reliable, and overall the 3 of them cost less than many a pals new car. I bought a new car 10 years ago and lost so much on it i vowed never again.
