bigbulls 26
I know that a couple of chaps gave them a bad review due to dodgy soles but my last pair had done five seasons before they quit and I did torture them so had to go with another pair. I wont slag them yet because they appear to be ok so far, the hawk will be flying free next week though and that's when the bramble bashing and river dipping etc really starts so I might be throwing a wobbler yet. The leather is WAY different than my last pair, the white hide around the top of the inside is very soft and quite thin and the main boot leather just is not the same as my old ones which I am holding them up to as writing this. Also, there is a big fek off label inside the tongue of the new ones that says "made in Romania" and that was definitely not in my last pair . Time will tell I guess. Quote Link to post
SINDASOX 256
It seems like all the boot manufacturer's are going down the same road by cutting costs, and using inferior materials, i cant understand it myself because it will only backfire on them. SINDASOX Quote Link to post
bigbulls 26
Well now I know!!! They are utter shite and if I were that way inclined I would send a message to the company and ask what the hell went on!! Nothing like the old ones at all, they squeak (bark) when I walk and rub the hell out of my heels. I know they had a bad review from a few chaps on here but my first two pairs were so good that I couldn't agree, now after working this new pair I see exactly what they were on about. How can the build quality have changed so much ? They are like a £50 pair of "get you by boots" Please please DONT BY A PAIR OF CHAMAU MOUFLON BOOTS !!!!!!! Quote Link to post
samboy 315
I'm on my 4th pair of Scarpa's, wont be getting them again, they seem to be made cheaper and cheaper. The chap in the shop said there made more for comfort than longevity. My second pair went back after about 4months because the rand came adrift. Edited January 6, 2012 by samboy Quote Link to post
