zx10mike 137
well i am doing a deer stalking cert starting on the 14th test on the17th,i have never stalked a deer in my life but thought it offered a chance of a different sporting day every now and again with a long ambition to stalk in scotland (never been) to be fullfilled.however i need to make the grade first. i shoot every week- rabbits fox pigeon etc.and have shot for many years.i know dsc1 is a subject of much debate but for me i found studying deer recognition and disease etc, brushing up on safety (never a bad thing) and just building up knowledge of deer and their habits a great experience already and for me the dsc1 gets a big thumbs up. i personally think there is definately a place for dsc otherwise guys like myself who rarely see a deer would be out shooting without the knowledge necessary and would place god knows what on the table for friends and family. total respect to those chaps who live and sleep with deer in their life and know more than i ever will and are worried dsc will be made compulsary, i understand your concern. But it has a place for people like myself.wish me luck.any advice welcome. Quote Link to post
