Just been having a look at Penny's pedigree; the nostalgia came flooding back !! LOL !! On her Whippet side; I've had pups out of Red Barron, Haymaker, Young Lucy, and a couple more, this was WAY back, mind ! And on her Greyhound side, I can see many simalarities to my Deer X's Greyhound side. Good Luck with the pups !

Cheers.

A better and more recent picture of our Penny

What was the racing name of your bitch penny. My late father raced whippets for years, i might have seen her run. She is a superb looking bitch.

Her racing name was Pennysworth , litter sister to Sugar Daddy.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone, very much appreciated

Had a look on database, she has top notch breeding. I remember going to get a bitch lined with both dream vision and bonnie tinker a few years back. my little beddy whippet is from sam the man on whippet side similar breeding as your biches whippet side. Your pups should be belters, best of luck and i hope you get what you want. That beddy greyhound looks a tidy dog.

we are gratful to bwra president,mr jack cadman, for the loan of this old photo which was taken in approx 1900.

and includes a dog name ALACRITY which although not raced , won about sixty rabbit courses.

This dog was typical of the south yorks .whippet of the time , being whippet x greyhound and weighing 31lb.
