Gaz_1989 9,539
I've been offered some permission on a golf course but they have said we need public liability insurance first. Any ideas where to start with this? Can you recommend any? Thanks Gaz Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Thanks, I've asked the golf course what it is exactly that I am insuring against and they said if we hurt ourselves or if someone walks over to us and hurts themselves. People who pay to play golf are insured on their policy but we will not be apparenty. Sometimes think poaching is easier Quote Link to post
BazB 37
i had a look on the basc website and it basically covers you for all hunting activities, and i think membership is bout 66 quid a year. Barry Quote Link to post

max abell 196
Been in the national gamekeepers organisation since it was formed and the basc before that it's £30 a year for ten million liability insurance this covers you for all field sports inc ferreting we shoot on all our permissions and to be honest would never shoot without insurance it only takes 1 richochet off a flint in the ground etc a freak accident and someone could get seriously injured or killed so £30 is a very small price to pay for peace of mind you know the saying if sh*t can happen it will Quote Link to post
darbo 4,776
I've been offered some permission on a golf course but they have said we need public liability insurance first. bobcullen79 1,495
Im with the countryside alliance. They were doing half price for the 1st year about this time last year, dunno if they are still doing it though. I think Im covered up to 10 million, for all fieldsports inc angling. I think the mrs gets 10 grand if I should die too, so Im probably worth more dead to her at the moment lol. Down side, I was offered payment for ferreting on my new permission, which is over run with rabbits, but I had to turn it down as it would have invalidated my insurance. Cant win them all.
