asanley 1,009
Whin , I used to think you were a bit of an eccentric , an interesting old character, but the more you write I realise your a jealous , spiteful old man who can,t stand others getting credit or recognition for having decent nights out . 3 Quote Link to post

whin 463
no big deal robert getting a fine its trying to not get one mate, i just think strange how growing men want to put lots of pics up of rabbits caut lamping, i suppose if your brought up in the game and surounded in areas its nothing just anite out ,i mean rabbits or any other game ,i just cant get it round my head for growing guys to want to hang up a 3 pound rabb with 45 pound dog ,i know its hard work to get big numbers of rabbits consitintly, hunted al my life ,and good you are keen to cacth them ,but dont get the drift of hanging lots of rabbits on a fence gate in the early ninties betwwen box traps dog ferrets we could get 3to4 hundred a week , in some areas ,you no ive only one pic i think maybe more is when an old freind d sleight ,ian clay god rest him he passed away as a young man came to stay now that was roughly ninty 2 ,3 time,i just cant get the draw on hanging 3 pound rabbs on a gate or tellin people the exact number runs etc its a nite out no more no less , now if we were hunting a more testing qaurry bear lion something that implores a bit danger then well it gets intresting ,or if your rabbiting dog caut three good winter daylite hares i would be wooping for you ,fech if i was to [bANNED TEXT] evrytime i go out hunting ,its maybe and engish mans thing up here you hardly here of big tales of game maybe just a diffrent opionion , fech in the dry summer of 76 i was well to young to get involved my good late freind netted 10 gs of salmos in a week now thats athng to remember ,the old, bird, came up he wanted to flash the camera it never came out the box , Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,328
no big deal robert getting a fine its trying to not get one mate, I agree with you totally Whin BUT at the end of the day the more times you are out running "freelance" then there's every chance that things are going to go tits-up every now and again? If your just doing it once in a while (a talker not a walker) then obviously you have less chance of having your collar felt lol..3/4 times a week over 30 odd year like Jim then it's like playing russian roulette but having the gun chamber loaded with 3/4 bullets instead of one haha..oh and as for bear & lion's being hunted..what the fech is that all about? We live on an island called Great Britain and i am yet to see either of those frequenting our countryside? Roe etc: preban..yes some were testing but i know of lads that were taking phenomenal numbers through the day as for hares obviously a test i can't recall anyone saying they weren't?..on another note i'm heading up your way to run on this ultimate of land VERY soon..my mate Storm 70 has a lot of permission that way so no doubt i'll report back with my experiences and i'll be honest in doing so.
