I was out in the field last night with my bitch, still bright enough to see. Up went a rabbit and away went my bitch. She lost it in the ditch, good.

 

But during the chase I was totally unaware of the sound that was emanating from my mouth. A bemused guy popped in from the next field to see what the commotion was.

 

He said I sounded like a tribe of Zulus on the war path, just wondering am I alone on this, or do you guys made strange noises when you dog are in pursuit of quarry. If so lets hear it?

 

Apparently I sounded like this, yayayaya shhhhh yayayaya shshhhhhhhhhhh.

Personally I cant get my head around anyone making any noise at all .My outings with the dog at night are silent .She knows what shes doing and I know what Im doing .A flat palm shows her where to return to and on we go with no disturbance .You would only get the one run out with me .

when i first started reading this topic i thought "your all mad "

Then i rememberd a night out a few months back out with my bitch and a pup from her last litter, the pup was about nine months old and this was her first night out on the lamp.

my mate sliped her on a rabbit in the center of the field. (this was about her third slip)

she put about 3 turns on it then finaly caught her 1st rabbit.

all the time this was happening myself and my mate were both shouting " git it then" oooooohhhhhhhhh

arghhhhhhhhhhhhh then jumping up and down like demented football fans when she caught it.
