3175darren 1,100
Not yet mate got foxes on my mind at the moment, :hmm:Got two behind me that it seems every one has had a shot at, so knocked up a fox trap from some weld mesh, thats out now in the weather, baited with the trap door tied up waiting till they get used to it,but on a theme of your trap I am trying to souce some twin wall pipe of around 500 mil round I have a plan for a new fox trap, thanks to your trap,I think I am going to bury the 6ft pipe in the banking with one end blanked off, just trying to work out a trigger mechanism, fill the floor of the pipe with soil so the floors level, fasten a trap door on one end, then bait it up and leave it in place as a permanent set got a couple of areas marked out on the ground behind my house,I want to do this before lambing starts this yr I really think it would work after all foxes like dark quiet places, its if they accept the twin wall pipe, they should do,as alot of farmers use it for drainage to go under there gate ways into fields and Ihave seen many foxes in them,so thanks for the idea, I will be trying that trap of yours on mink I have cadged some pipe from a friend, just need to get to pick it up,I am going to try and knock the stuffing out of the vermin around my home, to release some grey partridge next yr,will keep you posted,I would love peoples opinion on this idea,if I manage to get the pipe I will post pictures,of this trap which I feel will be cheap and effective, although the od friend I know seemed apprehensive about the idea, but if I am wright it would offer the opportunity to manage the population, 1 Quote Link to post
