AndrewEdwardDennis 9 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Share Posted November 1, 2011 I know you can hunt them all year round, but do any of you have a set month that you hunt them? also whilst I'm asking, when can you introduce a pup to rats for the firt time and when would it need its jabs and what jabs will all terriers need to fight off against infection from the rats. Thanks guys! Andrew Theres no set month better when we have had a few frost so the growth has died down. Introducing pups to rats depends on the dog 6-9 months some may be a bit slower. the_stig 6,614 Posted November 2, 2011 Report Share Posted November 2, 2011 i have pups out with the older dogs around 4 months .... rat all year round-- this time of year till march out 3-4 times a week once or twice a month during the summer .. any wounds i clean with tcp i`ve had em swell up like ballons after a full days ratting and use antibiotics .. make sure thr jabbed up ..keep the wounds clean keep your hands clean -- warm bed good grub and fresh water after a day out will keep em right ...
